Bedtime reading for budding Rally Co-Drivers!

We hope everyone had a lot of fun getting a taste of stage rally yesterday and at the classroom session Saturday night. I hear it went super well and there was a wealth of experience available to you.

If you want to do some further reading on the subject of co-driving I have a couple of suggestions for you…

First is A Guide to Rally Co-Driving in North America by Mark Williams. Mark is a legendary Canadian co-driver who you can now literally say has written the book on co-driving. Some of you may have met Mark here last August at the Lookoff Rally as he visited our humble event with his EZ Trak car tracking and safety system. He really knows his stuff and this book covers off all the topics you were shown Saturday in detail plus a bunch more. You can find more information and buy a copy at http://www.rallycodriver.com/

Another option is from another super experienced co-driver, Dave Shindle who has written up ‘Modern North American Performance Rally Co-Driving’. This downloadable book covers a lot of the same topics as Mark’s but I find the two compliment each other well. They describe and illustrate some things differently so when you’re scratching your head based on one book the other’s desciription will usually fill in the blanks. You can find more information about Dave’s book on the Special Stage Forum post here.

And you can contact him to order at DCRallyDave@yahoo.com.

With either one or both of these books you should have everything you need to jump in the right seat and start learning your craft!
