2013 BAC Bluenose TSD Rally Update!

A note from James Partridge, organizer of the 2013 BAC Bluenose Rally coming up Next Sunday, June 9th! Hope to see you there!

The route check was done by Martin Gillis Saturday. The corrections have been made and the instructions are ready to print. The official distance Exp has been modified to 212.00 km time of 4:28 if all of the check points are placed. Novice distance is 157.53 km time of 3:26. The novice instructions are very straightforward. The Apple Blossoms are out and there are a few spots where a quick picture could be taken of the scenic view. The experienced instructions, while not as straight forward as the novice, can be followed by newcomers to the sport.

The checkpoint locations are going to be busy so a second pair of eyes would be handy.
If you are planning to enter or checkpoint please let me know at jpartridge@ns.sympatico.ca!

Unfortunately due to the weekend’s weather the BAC RallyCross event scheduled for February 17th has been postponed. The event or its runs will be made up at a later date.

The following is a statement from Organizer Dave Hull:

[important]Hi All,

I have decided to postpone the RallyCross for tomorrow, Feb 17th. Considering how soft the ground is around Truro, it will only be worse at AMP, along with all the rain we are supposed to have tonight and tomorrow I don’t want to tear up the back 40 making it impossible to have at least one more event on March 3rd. So for now it is postponed and we will try to start a little earlier on March 3rd and do 8 runs each, as in two events, or if that’s not possible and we don’t destroy the back 40 on the 3rd we will run on the 10th as the missed event.
